Rest and Relaxation [Slight! Armin x Reader]

    "What are you doing out here?" The voice made you jump, and you turned around. It was Levi. Of course, your commanding officer seeing you out here. "Stop staring and give me an answer," he demanded. 

    "I just wanted to look up at the stars," you simply stated as you returned your attention to the sky. A light 'tch' was heard along with pouring. You felt him tap your shoulder, and he handed you a cup of tea. "Thanks, Heichou," you said as you blew it to cool it off a bit. It was a peaceful silence, broken in a matter of minutes with a loud

    "YAHOO! What are you two doing out here?" Hange came approaching, Armin, Eren, and Mikasa trailing behind. 

    "Cadet [Name] came out to see the stars," Levi said as he took another sip of tea. 

    "I was just going to do a few more tests on Eren here," she gestured to Eren who seemed to look very tired. Mikasa was there, probably to watch Eren. She looked tired, too. Armin was the only one who didn't seem to be falling asleep. 

    "Hi, [Name]. Aren't you cold?" Armin gestured to my clothing. The rest of them wore long, heavy coats and it made me cold and envious. I just shook my head with a smile. 

    "No, it's fine." I pointed at the sky. They all 'oohed' and 'aahed', as you expected. You felt Hange's eyes on you the entire time. 

    "I'll be right back!" She dashed back to HQ, her feet crunching the snow. 

    "How did you know I was here, anyway?" I asked Levi. 

    "I followed your footsteps. It was also obvious when you just dashed out of dinner and saying 'you were going somewhere'." You grinned sheepishly as Levi poured himself more tea. You enjoyed the quiet for a few minutes when it was broken again. 

    "YAHOO!" Hange's voice sounded strained this time. You turned around. She had benches in her arms. Sasha was behind her, a basket of potatoes and bread in her hands. Krista followed behind her, carrying a long coat, mittens, and a blanket. Jean was there with more chairs. Ymir was teasing Krista, and Connie was waving at us, mittens covering his hands. Bertholdt and Reiner were here too, just waving and carrying a few more cups of coffee and tea. Bertholdt was still sweating even in this weather. 

    "Hi, everyone," I grinned at them as Krista handed me the clothing. 

    "It's cold out here, you should have dressed more warmly." Krista looked really cute when she tried to lecture someone. Ymir laughed out loud, and ruffled her hair with her mittened hand. Hange and Jean placed down the chairs, a perfect amount for all of us. Eren and Mikasa shared a bench, and so did Levi and Hanji. Ymir and Krista also shared a bench along with Connie and Sasha. Reiner, Bertholdt, Jean, Armin and you got the chairs. I wrapped the blanket around me first, then putting on the coat and mittens. I put a potato in my mouth, and held a cup of coffee in my hands. I sat in between Jean and Armin, and Jean looked really drowsy. I looked to my left. Hange was pointing up to the sky and exclaiming the names of the constellations excitedly and Levi just nodded to agree with her. Reiner and Bertholdt sat in comfortable silence, just staring up at the sky. Jean's head was starting to wobble now. His head fell to one side and drool began to seep out of his mouth. Sasha had a potato in her mouth and Connie had bread in his, and they chewed simultaneously which you found adorable. I chuckled to myself, and then looked to my right. Eren and Mikasa were completely passed out. Mikasa leaned on Eren's shoulder, and Eren leaned on Mikasa's head. Armin's eyelids looked heavy, and they dropped down and he began to lightly snore. I chuckled to myself again. Sasha's eyes slowly began to close, and she leaned down onto Connie's shoulder, the potato still in her mouth. Connie silently panicked, his bread falling onto the snow. He looked down at it sadly while he awkwardly shifted his position so he and Sasha were more comfortable. Sasha's potato fell out of her mouth, and she began to snore. Connie snorted and you laughed at them. 

    "We shouldn't let them sleep out here, they'll freeze to death," I heard Levii say to Hange. You heard her laugh and then stand up. 

    "I came prepared with that, too." Erwin suddenly came approaching, wood, a match, lanterns, and a chair in his full arms. 

    "Could someone help me with this?" Hange took the wood and the match and started a fire. There was a lot of wood, so it got really warm fast. Hange and Erwin lit the lanterns and surrounded us with them. Erwin placed his chair by Hange and Levi. He started pointing up at the constellations too. Krista fell asleep on Ymir's shoulder, her nose red and Ymir holding her to keep her warm. Armin and Jean's head began to loll in your direction, and it wasn't too long before they both ended up on your head. You were way shorter than Jean, and a bit shorter than Armin. You giggled, and pinched both the boys cheeks. They didn't wake up, just stayed where they were. It was a tough descision, but you finally decided to lean on Armin's shoulder for support only because he was almost the same height as you. Jean's head slid to your chest, and then his arms wrapped around your waist. Armin's head now rested on your head, and you hugged him tight. You watched the fire as sparks of light flickered into the air and disappeared. You smiled to yourself. Your [e/c] bright as you watched the fire and you slowly closed your eyelids. The light chatter, laughter, snoring, and the crackling of the fire slowly lulled you to sleep. And as you slept, you dreamed of a world where you could do this every night with your friends and just for a moment forget the reality of the world. Where you had no worries, death, or grief. Where you could all just let go and breathe. Where you could just have some rest and relaxation.
